Winter Magic

Silver sleigh bells shining bright
Icicles sparkling in moonlight
Breathing misted cold clear air
Winter magic everywhere

Waterfalls are carved in ice
By winds that cut and mold and slice
Nature’s art beyond compare
Winter magic everywhere

Evergreen and mistletoe
Tied up in a big red bow
Carolers singing in the square
Winter magic everywhere

Snow like frosting on the trees
Fairy lights twinkling on the eaves
Jolly old elves with long white hair

November Night

Fallen leaves of trees gone bare
Calls of geese through cold crisp air
Woolen socks and scarves wound tight
Against the cold November night

Grey clouds dim the evening sky
Around the door the wind does sigh
Through windowpane the lamp glows bright
Against the cold November night

Icy rain filled blustery days
Twilight full of moonlit haze
Apple cider; warm delight
Against the cold November night

Frost lies thick on field and plow
Owls hoot 'neath the fir tree's bough
Hearth fires burn with amber light
Against the cold November night

Autumn's Gifts

Bright orange pumpkins, rainbow maize
Woodlands splendid colors blaze
Skies of brilliant brightest blue
Autumn's dazzling gift to you.

Chrysanthemums in vivid bloom
Apple cider's sweet perfume
Pumpkin pie and turkey stew
Autumn's dazzling gift to you.

Persimmon puckers on your face
Windows trimmed in icy lace
Sunbeams on the frosty dew

Smoky smell of burning leaves
Wafting on the chilly breeze
Jack o' lanterns, witches brew

Shorter day and longer night
Fireplace shedding gleaming light
Bidding summer sweet adieu

Wraiths among the misty trees
Wind blown swirling musty leaves
Wistful waiting spirits keen
Welcome night of Halloween

Witches watching cauldrons bubble
Werewolf howling warning trouble
Woeful creatures barely seen

Wings of bats disturb the air
Whooshing from their cavern lair
Wavering shadows mute the scene

While goblins creep beyond the light
